At Act Alive Academy we offer a Fall, Winter and Spring term each year.

Each term is an equal length and our Musical Theatre programs all culminate in a year end productions. All of our instructors are industry professionals who bring their many years of training to every class.

Though we help develop very skilled performers and yogis, we value process and aim to make the experience of learning fun and inspiring as students gain new skills and strengthen existing ones.

They will also love rehearsing a musical theatre song and dance to be filmed and sent to parents at the end of the term.

Students enrolled in our Spring term will also have the opportunity to perform in our Centre Stage production in June.

Students will learn dance skills, strengthen their vocal technique and play fun and imaginative improvisation games.

Equal amounts of the two hour class allotted for singing, dancing and acting and students will be introduced to the songs, characters in the show we are producing as well as in the show, preparing for in-class auditions together with their directors. Each week kids will be encouraged to find their voice, and to begin to make personal connections through fun team building games and exercises.

At the end of the term students will have learned one complete number for the show to be showcased to parents.

Perform Term

In our Perform term, students will finalize all character work and acting scenes,  and learn the remaining musical numbers.

The young actors will be filled with the confidence it takes to get on stage and perform their hearts out, and are given the chance to mentor and learn from other groups when the student body assembles into a single rehearsal cohort before our June production. When the lights go down and the curtains go up, the cast will have multiple opportunities to perform for the Squamish community at Eagle Eye Theatre, creating memories they are sure to treasure forever.
