Hello Act Alive Community!

We hope you are all having a wonderful time exploring our incredible town, and enjoying the sunny weather!

We’ve had a jam packed summer here at the Act Alive Studio! We’ve flown to Oz, rode a Hawaiian roller coaster ride, cast some spells, and have 'shaked' it off! Now we are looking forward to starting classes the week of September 22nd, and seeing all of our amazing students!

Act Alive Classes - Free Taster Sessions!

Preschool Classes & Taster Session Sat 13th Sept

We have so many new exciting things to come this Fall! Starting with new preschool classes, such as Mini’s Broadway Dance, a fun introductory dance class for ages 3-5. As well as Broadway Babies: Grown-Up & Me Musical Theatre for ages 1-3, a fun class where toddlers and their grown-ups take center stage together in a playful introduction to the magic of musical theatre. On Saturday September 13th we are hosting a free taster day for all our Mini classes! You will get to experience our new classes, and meet our preschool teacher Ms. Paige! Our current Mini students are welcome to bring a friend to try out any of our mini classes. New prospective students must sign up via the parent portal for the classes if they wish to attend.

Dance & Voice Classes - Free Trial First Week of Class!

We listened to what our incredible performers were wanting, and we are happy to introduce our new vocal and dance training classes! Our Broadway Voice and Broadway Dance classes were created to facilitate our students gaining and developing their skills that will go on to benefit their performances. During our first week of classes (W/O 22nd September) we are offering a free trial of these classes for our students to explore and experience! Sign up in the parent portal!

Young Adult Musical Theatre Training

Also introducing Masterclass: Advanced Musical Theatre Performance Training for ages 16-20, who are looking to take their musical theatre training to the next level or to prepare to audition for pre-professional training.

We Are Hiring - Childcare Providers!

Earlier this month we announced that we are launching our new fitness and wellness venture, The Vitality Lab! We will be offering classes in movement, mindfulness, and connection. Here, fitness isn't about pressure or perfection, it's about discovering strength, joy, and balance in ways that feel good for you. Through yoga, movement, and empowering workouts, we explore what it means to thrive in body, mind, and spirit - together. Step into the Lab and leave feeling lighter, stronger, and more alive. Classes will also offer Childcare in our adjacent studio, so parents can enjoy their classes with the peace of mind that their children are being cared for just next door by a qualified team.

We're seeking nurturing, responsible team members to provide safe and playful care for children while parents attend classes.

Compensation:

- $25 per 1 hr 10 min shift OR trade for a 3-class pass per week ($60 value)

What We're Looking For:

- Friendly, fun, and caring childcare workers

Requirements:

- Experience working with children (daycare, babysitting, education, or similar)

- Warm, patient, and reliable

- First Aid/CPR certification an asset Valid criminal record check

Act Alive Winter Market

This December on Saturday 13th we are so excited to host Act Alive’s inaugural Winter Market! Members of our community are encouraged to host a stall for their small businesses, hobbies, and winter crafts! Stall prices will be set at $50 for adults, and $10 for students with all proceeds being donated to the Act Alive Scholarship Fund.
